Sarakina Gοrge

Sarakiná Gorge is located near Myrtos, in the Lasithi region of Crete, and is one of the island’s most striking small gorges. It is about 1.5 km long and is known for its narrow passages, towering rock walls, and small water pools that create a wild yet beautiful landscape. The hike through the gorge is relatively short and popular with visitors who enjoy nature and walking. According to local tradition, the gorge got its name from Saracen pirates.
